HACK 24
Future MedAI: Won 4th Prize in Inter College Hackathon
Our team The Tech4 Squad from K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering secured the 4th prize at Hack24 hackathon, conducted by Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Our project FutureMedAI is an AI-powered healthcare platform that predicts diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer at an early stage, while also offering personalized health guidance, doctor scheduling, e-prescriptions, and an AI chatbot. Built using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Servlet, MySQL, and OpenRouter AI, it blended innovation with real-world healthcare needs.
This achievement was truly special as it combined technical skills with social impact. Working alongside my teammates Roobis C, Udhayan P, and Kiruthik Roshan KS pushed us to innovate under pressure, collaborate effectively, and think beyond conventional solutions. Winning the 4th prize reinforced our belief that AI can transform healthcare delivery. I’m grateful to my mentors, peers, and the organizers of Hack24 for giving us this platform, and I look forward to applying these learnings in future projects that merge technology with real-world impact.

Master Minds of Code
Won 3rd Prize in Intra College Coding Contest
I secured the 3rd prize in the “Discovering the Master Minds of Code – 2024” Intra-College Coding Contest at K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering. The competition tested our problem-solving abilities under intense time pressure, with just one hour to solve six algorithmic challenges. The problems included Majority Element, Merge Sorted Array, Substring Occurrence, Reverse Words in a String, Valid Parentheses, and Decode String. Each required not just coding knowledge, but also analytical thinking and time efficiency to implement the correct logic.

Earning the 3rd prize (₹800) was a proud milestone because it reflected my dedication to competitive programming and constant practice in algorithms and data structures. More than the prize, the experience helped me improve my speed, accuracy, and clarity in approaching problems. I also learned the importance of keeping calm under time constraints and breaking down complex challenges into smaller steps. Competitions like this are a reminder that every coding problem is an opportunity to learn, grow, and push our boundaries further.

CHASING BUGS
Won 2nd Prize in Intra College Debugging Contest
I won the 2nd prize in the “Chasing Bugs – 2025” Intra-College Debugging Contest at K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering. This was a one-hour contest designed to test the accuracy and precision of programmers in debugging code. The challenge consisted of 40 questions — 20 in Java and 20 in Python — covering strings, arrays, and exceptions. Each question presented buggy code snippets, and we had to quickly identify and correct the errors by writing the fixes on the provided sheet. It was a true test of attention to detail, programming fundamentals, and problem-solving speed.
Winning the 2nd prize (₹750) was a rewarding achievement as debugging often demands deeper thinking than coding itself. This contest strengthened my skills in analyzing logic, tracing errors efficiently, and applying fixes under time constraints. It also improved my confidence in working with both Java and Python. More importantly, the experience highlighted the role of debugging as a crucial skill for building reliable software. I’m thankful for the opportunity, and this motivates me to further enhance my coding and debugging expertise for future challenges.

Our team was granted a patent for developing an innovative
system designed to enhance the safety and security of
fishermen. The device integrates multiple features,
including real-time GPS navigation, border alerts,
distress signalling, and automatic location data logging
to provide legal evidence in case of maritime disputes.

Additionally, the system includes a health monitoring module that enables fishermen to send emergency alerts to responders and family members in critical situations. By combining navigation, safety, and health functionalities into a compact, easy-to-use device, the innovation aims to safeguard lives, improve operational confidence, and support the well-being of coastal communities.
